Sanitation Worker I

The Town of Tryon is seeking an individual to fill the position of Sanitation Worker 1. This position performs routine tasks related to the collection of garbage, recycling materials and brush. This position is an entry level position that will work with the Streets department as well, and has the opportunity for growth. Applicants should possess the ability to read and write. No prior experience is required, but candidates must be dependable, physically fit, able to walk long distances and work effectively in all weather conditions. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred but not required. This position may require working rotating shifts, weekends, overtime and holidays as needed. WATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR IN TRAINING
Operator “C” Salary Range ($34,675 – $52,012.49)
Town of Tryon is seeking an individual to be a water treatment plant operator in training. This is an entry level position with excellent growth potential. Must be proficient in basic mathematics. Requires attendance at schools paid for by Town. Passing certification exams lead to promotion as a Water Treatment Plant Operator. Open until filled.
