Officially chartered in 1922, the Tryon Fire Department provides fire prevention and suppression, emergency medical services at the basic life support level and heavy rescue services throughout the Town of Tryon, Tryon Township and the Foothills Fire Service Area.
The Tryon Fire Department strives to provide services in a professional manner which reflects the sense of dedication and purpose, personal integrity and a high level of training by all of its personnel. Our mission is threefold: First, the preservation of life; Second, the stabilization of all incidents; Third, the conservation of property.
This mission is accomplished through the provision of the broad spectrum of services
offered by the department, developing and maintaining good relationships with all the patrons we serve, and by providing programs in the area of fire and life safety education. The department is committed to protecting and preserving the health of our personnel and our promise to them is to return them safely home after every incident.
Under the leadership of Chief Connell, The Tryon Fire Department is expanding its efforts in community outreach. We are committed to strengthening our connection with the community through a variety of events and initiatives.
If you would like to support these efforts, donations are welcome.
Please make checks payable to Tryon Fire Department and mail them to Town Hall.
We sincerely appreciate the continued support from our community.
