The Tryon Police Department is committed to enhancing the quality of life in our community by working cooperatively with the public and within the framework of the constitution to enforce the laws, preserve the peace, reduce fear and provide for a safe environment for all our citizens.

The Police Department provides a 24 hour a day service within the Town limits.  It also provides a 12 hour communications center that dispatches the Fire, Police and Public Works seven days a week from 7am-7pm.

The Tryon Police maintains mutual aid agreements with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, Columbus and Saluda Police Departments.  We are staffed by eight full time officers including the Chief, five reserve officers and two full time telecommunicators.
