Parks & Recreation

The Town of Tryon maintains many acres of parks and recreational facilities consisting of Harmon Field, Woodland Park, The Green Corner and Rogers Park. Harmon Field consists of 36 acres of ball fields, soccer fields, a quarter mile track, tennis courts, equestrian facilities including rings and stables, a playground, a picnic shelter and a cabin for special events. The Harmon Field Board of Supervisors oversees all activities at Harmon Field and meets the first Tuesday of each month.  Visit their website at harmonfield.com.

Woodland Park is approximately 10 acres of natural park located just off Chestnut Street and provides hiking trails through unspoiled forest.

The Green Corner is a small park located at the corner of Melrose Avenue and Lyncourt Drive and is often used for art exhibits and weddings. Rogers Park is located on West Howard Street and features a 200 seat amphitheater with reception and gathering areas. A small creek and short trails meander through the park. Includes rock walls and is beautifully landscaped with native plants.
